Case File 4 [Voice/Action] Pops is up to something....

[Inspector Zenigata hates Mondays. He hates Mondays after a weekend he can't freakin' remember even more. After all this time here, though, he's learned to just accept that something weird probably happened to him last weekend. It's a pretty crappy thing to accept, sure, but what choice does he have since those Malnosso punks won't show up and let him arrest them. Add to that the weirdness of that Were-Yeti incident...and you've got a cop who REALLY needs a distraction.

Regardless of the funkiness of the last few weeks, he wakes up and gets a move on. The man's got plans for today. Starting with a trip down to the shops, where he's picking up nails and a hammer, as well as various lengths of wood gathered from around town. He's got a project in mind, for the benefit of his sanity and the residents of Community House 5. The pickup process takes a few hours, so feel free to stop him or give him funny looks as he wanders between Community House 5 and the shops, whistling while he works.

After gathering supplies, the sounds of sawing, hammering, and generalized construction can be heard in the woods behind Community House #5. Zenigata is making quite a racket. After a while, he appears via the journal, saluting like any civic minded individual doing the community a service.]


Hey, anyone out there like to give me a hand? I'm tryin' to put together a little work-shack out back. Figured it would be a good way to keep a certain someone from blowing up apartments again. If you don't wanna help, thats fine. Just figured I'd give everyone some warning. Also...if there's anyone around who'd be willing to bring me some extra nails and maybe some water, that'd be great. Rather not stop workin' once I get started...

No, not really. He's fine with them once he HAS them. Its when he's trying to make them that there's a problem.

Oh. [ She exhales a very loud sigh of relief. ]

Would giving him some explosives help or would that be a really bad idea?

It'd probably help. It'd mean he has to make less. He'll GET them either way, but him making them is the trouble.

Hm. Well, I already offered him my explosives but he hasn't taken them yet. I wonder what's wrong with them? They've always worked when I used them.

Dunno. That guy likes doing stuff on his own though. Where did you manage to get explosives anywho?

He does seem a bit prideful. [ The question just makes Tenten's voice fall flat before it reverts to a usual, snarky tone. ] Uh, I make them? [ She trained herself with explosive and explosive ninjutsu for about 2 1/2 years now! ]

Seem? He is.
[and a pause. Remember, he's only met Tenten once, and she was in a kangaroo suit begging for pets]

So, you make explosives? Hopefully better than Lupin.

I think I am. I haven't blown up an entire residency yet.

True enough. You seem much more reliable. Plus, you're a ninja. That automatically makes you better than a thief.

[ Tenten feels fantastic now! ] Heh. Well, I have to admit I am a pretty reliable woman and stealing is entirely beneath me anyways. [ Unless it was a part of a mission or for the common good. Then that's another matter entirely

Oh, and if there's a awesome new weapon just lying around it's now hers. ]

Stealing should be beneath anyone with morals. once or twice when you're a kid is one thing, but making a career of it?

Well, I can think of a couple of situations where one could make a morally good career out of it.

Well, stealing for a cause is one thing. Stealing for fun and profit is another.

The latter is something that just annoys me frequently. Most likely because I have to guard merchandise or other expensive when they're being transported. It's a rather stressful job.

No, not really. You're born in one village, you have your loyalty towards one village. It's like serving in the military for your home country. Though, some are and have been used as mercenaries before.

Ah, ok. Sounds like you're from a pretty...I guess...medieval world. Not a lotta big cities, and stuff, yea?

Well, that depends on how large you consider a big city to be.
